We are starting the Jr. FIRST LEGO League robotics after school program (through Carlsbad Ed Foundation) for Poinsettia's 1st-3rd graders. Jr. FIRST LEGO League Robotics students get to work in teams to address real world issues such as food safety, recycling, energy and more! They present their findings by constructing a model using LEGO elements and coding. Each Jr. FLL team can have up to 6 students and requires 2 volunteer parent "coaches" (no technical background necessary). Please let Laura B. know if your student is interested and if you could help coach (laura@tickledplum.com or 310-498-5515 call/text). Laura's team will meet for 12 weeks (starting on Feb 13) on Mondays from 2:35pm to 4pm in the computer lab. (It's possible for other teams to meet at other times.) The cost is $195 per student, and parent coaches receive 10% discount. Register online here: http://www.cefacademy.org/Jr-First-Lego-League-C351.aspx
